Yesterday, the family and a neighbor boy went to Mizzou H2O, which provided lots of great water play – an obstacle slide, a big water slide, a horizontal water slide, fire trucks with firehose games, free water pistols, and water balloon and sponge games. The kids (and their parents) had a marvelous time!
This is the second year of the event (we just learned about it this year), and we are looking forward to going next year!
Sub sandwich pieces were provided by Jimmy John’s. They are sponsoring many MU early fall semester events, and we love them! Dave, head of the Jimmy John’s marketing team, has also been providing cards for free subs as giveaways and prizes. At this event, he sponsored a water balloon catch contest, and a funny dance contest with a prize of a week of sub sandwiches. This writer (who the DJ named “Hairy Chest”) is pleased to announce he was one of four winners, as well as his neighbor James (age 7). Jimmy John’s has done an excellent job of sponsoring MU events this year, and we appreciate their food.
