The 12th annual Life and Literature Performance Series features cutting-edge original and adapted works by MU student authors, giving voice to emerging talent by staging a diverse body of new scripts. Come see an evening full of stunning solo performances, poetic and ethnographic works, and an original award-winning one-act play. Artistic Director Dr. Heather Carver, directed by Prof. Jon Drtina.

Enjoy an evening of art, music, food and fun as you visit the nine participating galleries and museums and stroll through the Mizzou Botanic Garden serenaded by students from the MU School of Music. View contemporary and historical artworks, artifacts and even insects from around the world. End your evening gazing at the stars at the Laws Observatory. In addition to famous works by George Caleb Bingham and Thomas Hart Benton, SHSMO will be featuring Missouri and World War I and Benton’s American Mythologies. The Benton exhibition showcases actual nineteenth- and twentieth-century artifacts that relate to his imagery thanks to a partnership with MU’s Museum of Anthropology.
