The Columbia Public Schools (CPS)
Planetarium normally offers free public shows on the second Saturday of the month. In February, the show will be on February 7, the first Saturday, and the theme is
Rockets Rockets Rockets! The Planetarium is teaming with the University of Missouri (MU) American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) club and bringing you rockets, rockets, and more rockets. In the Dome: See “Secret of the Cardboard Rocket” at 2 pm or 3 pm, followed by the star talk. The movie is for general audiences: Take an imaginary rocket ship ride through the solar system, learning about each planet along the way. In the hallways outside the Dome: The MU AIAA will have displays and interactive exhibits describing all aspects of rocketry. Admission is free; optional donations of $2 per person are always welcome.
