art pieces from CAL's Everything is a Remix show
Fun events going on tonight, downtown and on the University of Missouri (MU) campus, that you can put together for a great evening!

Suggestion (details below): Attend the CAL reception around 6 pm, then walk through the building/next door for the International Showcase in the Missouri Theatre from 7-9 pm or head over to the Memorial Union on the MU campus (not far) and watch the latest Hunger Games movie, starting at 7 pm. Note: The movie costs $1, and also shows at 9:30 pm.

From 6-8 pm, attend the opening reception for the Everything is a Remix art show at the Columbia Art League (CAL) (207 S Ninth St). In this show, artists were invited to remix their own artistic influences, be it that of another artist, a writer, musician, film-maker, or a specific piece of their work, and offer up an homage to the creativity they have inspired. They will have hors d’oeuvres from Room 38 , wines from Les Bourgeois, jazz from Lisa Rosenkrantz and Joel Anderson, and great moments in art by our incredible artists.

From 7-9 pm, attend MU’s 6th International Showcase at the Missouri Theatre (203 S Ninth St). This night is filled with international experiences, as the stage becomes the dance floor for cultural performances by various campus organizations. Doors open at 6:30 pm; no tickets required.

At 7 pm (or at 9:30 pm), see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 (2014) [PG-13] [2:05] in Wrench Auditorium, Memorial Union South (518 Hitt St) on the MU campus. There is a cost of $1 for admission.
