The Museum of Art & Archaeology is holding their Grand Opening of the museum today until 6 pm! Starting at 2 pm, a large crowd arrived and enjoyed wine, punch, and hors d’oeuvres. After the ribbon cutting at 3 pm, visitors had their first chance to see the new museum space! The space is approximately the same as it was in Pickard Hall, and new pieces are on display. We love the new space! You transition from period to period as you go through the rooms, and the space is much roomier for viewing the art!
Bonus: To encourage participation with the museum, the Museum Associates are offering free, six-month memberships for a limited time! No end date to this offer is specified, but expect this to be a limited-time offer, so stop by the Museum Store as soon as possible to sign up! Benefits include a 10% discount at the Museum Store and invitations to members-only events.
The new Museum of Art & Archaeology is located on the second floor of Mizzou North, 115 Business Loop 70W, Columbia, Missouri, 573-882-3591. This is the former Ellis Fischel Cancer Center on the Business Loop by Garth Avenue.

Tuesday-Friday, 9am-4pm
Saturday-Sunday, Noon-4pm
Closed on Mondays
In addition, the Cast Gallery and the Museum Store are on the first floor of Mizzou North and both are open Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm.
The Museum of Anthropology, which has also been closed for moving, will be opening soon in the adjacent space. Details to be announced.
