Festivals/Fairs: This weekend includes Artrageous Weekend, Sustainable Living Fair, Fall Parade of Homes, and Clover’s Anniversary Party! FYI: The Missouri Chestnut Roast is also on Saturday and loads of fun, but not on the calendar because it is in New Franklin; if you are interested, see the Missouri Chestnut Roast flyer.
Movies: See films at the Armory, Forum 8 Theater, and University of Missouri ($1).
Dancing: Get down at Cafe Berlin, Eastside Tavern, and Yoga Sol.
Food/Drink: In addition to the great food and drink paired with Artrageous Weekend, enjoy spirits tasting at Lucky’s Market (age 21+), sample gluten-free foods at Hy-Vee (West), and enjoy more samples at Clover’s Anniversary party!
Books: Hear the author talk at the Boone County Historical Society (with coffee and Harold’s Doughnuts!), Speaking of Culture at Orr Street Studios (biographical writing) (with coffee and baked treats), and learn about suspense writing with authors or kids can enjoy storytime at Barnes and Noble.

3-4:30 pm Art reception & artist talk – Odd Mythos by Brett Anderson. Larson Gallery, Brown Hall, Columbia College, 1001 Rogers St. As the campus lots are not available, park in the nearby streets.

12-2 pm (drop in) Toys “R” Us bricktober event – Mini LEGO City Kayak (ages 5+). 1901 Bernadette Dr. Go early! These LEGO events run out of supplies fast!
1-3:00 pm International Archaeology Day. Mizzou North, 115 W Business Loop 70. International Archaeology Day participants include the Museum of Art and Archaeology and the neighboring Museum of Anthropology, and the MU Departments of Art History and Archaeology and Classical Studies. Deutschheim State Historic Site (located in Hermann, Missouri) will describe the history, archaeology, restoration, and interpretation of the Site’s Foursquare (heirloom) Garden and discuss its relationship to our lives. The Missouri Historic Costume and Textile Collection will demonstrate clothing from antiquity. There will be activities of interest for all ages including mapping, a language booth, characters in costume, coins, and visits to the Rome Project laboratory.
1-4 pm Clovers’ 50th Anniversary Party. Clovers Natural Market, 2100 Chapel Plaza Ct. Tons of local vendors and artisans with samples and giveaways, live music, a kids corner, fortune telling, free chair massage, and much more!
